Break Into Marketing Analytics & Experimentation Without Guesswork
For recent grads and early-career professionals ready to land high-paying roles and build meaningful work they love.
Hey friend,
Welcome to the first post of Experimentation Career. If you’re in your 20s or early 30s, unsure where to go next, tired of generic advice, and looking for clarity—you’re in the right place.
1. Why This, Why Now
After graduating with an economics degree, I thought I was ready—smart, eager, and prepared to land a great job. Instead, I entered one of the worst job markets in years. I had no strategy, no network, and no idea how to translate my degree into a real-world career.
At one point, I gave away everything I owned—including my first car—and lived in a van while trying to figure things out. (That’s another story for another time.) Eventually, I made my way to Austin, TX and ended up sleeping on the floor of my mom’s studio apartment, applying to jobs all day, feeling stuck and behind.
When I was struggling looking for a job, I stumbled across books like What Color Is Your Parachute? and took aptitude tests to better understand what I might be good at. I began building real skills—marketing, analytics, experimentation—and slowly started to see a path forward.
Since then, I’ve worked at startups, built my own company (www.Jobsolv.com, a free AI resume tailoring tool for job seekers), and today I lead experimentation at a Fortune 500 company making total compensation over $200K. I’m also an immigrant, first-gen student, and someone who struggled through college with undiagnosed ADHD.
Now I want to give back—by helping you avoid the confusion, doubt, and trial-and-error I went through. This Substack is my way of doing that.
